A Deeper Look
Alyssa graduated with a B.F.A. in Professional Theatre with a Minor in History at North Carolina A&T State University.
She attended Cornerstone Charter Academy for middle and high school. CCA was where she ended up finding her love and passion for theatre. Becky Feldmann, Tori Galloway McCracken, and Casey Martin were teachers and directors who fostered the theatrical energy around her - she truly thanks them for everything they've done for her.
Alyssa has worked through many acting classes, but is still working diligently to continuously grow. She is currently taking classes at In-Studio with Lee Spencer in Greensboro, NC. While working on her acting, she also is working on learning all other aspects of theatre. She strives to venture into and succeed in theatre education. She knows she must continue her own education during and after graduation through all aspects of theatre on and off the stage to be able to turn around and teach that to her students.
Her vision for her future is to inspire and empower those who are interested or learning about theatre, through a dedication, passion, and knowledge of the arts, in order to create a more open and inclusive space in theatre for all.
Her mission in life is to foster healthy habits and mindsets of herself and other in order to create better humans everyday.
Alyssa is extremely excited for upcoming projects in the future! Last summer she worked on “Moana Jr.” and "Newsies Jr." at The Community Theatre of Greensboro. She also just worked on some performances as Eva in "Let Your Children Tell" and Stage Manager for "Mad at Miles" at West Connecticut University.
